There are three king bedrooms and two bathrooms in the cottage which has unusually generous living space with long open plan kitchen dining room, that opens up onto the outdoor dining terrace, and study come sitting room and a vaulted main sitting room with another wood-burning stove. All the bedrooms in the cottage are on the first floor and there is also a downstairs utility and boot room.
On the edge of the woodland is a contemporary single story annex that can be used as a studio retreat or made up as an en-suite King. Just a few steps down from the annex is the decked wood-fired hot-tub.
A must visit is the famous Woolpack Slad, especially for a classic English Sunday lunch – the Spicy Bloody Marys are a personal recommendation – and the classic and charming village of Bisley and market town of Painswick are close by. Stroud hosts an award winning Farmer’s Market and the town is becoming quite a foodie destination especially with the opening of Juliet, a sister destination to The Woolpack.
