The Hewletts is a beautifully presented Georgian country house, Listed Grade II of architectural importance. The principal part of the house was constructed in the mid 1700’s with earlier origins and sits in a commanding position, high up on Aggs Hill to the east of Cheltenham. Cheltenham, famed for being one of the most complete Regency towns in England and historically the original and most fashionable spa town, is less than a hundred miles from London; situated between the beautiful Cotswolds and the stunning Wye Valley.

Cheltenham is the place to indulge in the finer things in life with Michelin-starred restaurants, stylish shops and chic salons. Art and history enthusiasts can visit The Wilson, the town’s newly refurbished museum and art gallery. The cultural scene is bustling with two concert halls and three theaters, along with a very packed annual festival season including the Wychwood and the renown annual literature, science, food and drink, and jazz festivals. For many, the highlight of the year is the annual racing festival culminating in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the blue-ribbon event of the national hunt calendar, attracting visitors year after year.

Close to the town centre you will find the amazing historic Grade II listed Lido – open air heated swimming pool – and there are pay for use tennis courts in Montpellier Gardens but do plan ahead as they are very popular. The house is also an easy drive to all parts of the stunning Cotswold countryside making it an ideal base from which to explore this very unique part of the world.

The house is ideally located for parents with children at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham Ladies College and Dean Close schools for half terms stays and very accessible with Junction 11 of the M5 motorway is only around 5 miles away for access to Bristol, the south-west, Birmingham and the North. Oxford and the M40 are accessible via the nearby A40 plus direct and frequent train services from Cheltenham Spa to London Paddington take around 118 minutes via GWR.
