The Ebrington Arms occupies a building dating from the 1640s, on the edge of the small village of Ebrington, a short drive from Chipping Campden. Originally thought to have been a large dwelling or farmhouse, it has spent most of its long life as a public house, and today ranks among the most decorated pubs in the north Cotswolds — CAMRA North Cotswold Pub of the Year or runner-up for seven consecutive years, with two AA Rosettes and a Bib Gourmand held for the kitchen for the same span.

A Brewery of Its Own

In 2014 the owners launched their own craft beer range, the Yubberton Brewing Co., producing three ales brewed on site in the Cotswolds and served alongside a carefully chosen selection of other beers at the bar — a genuinely rare thing for a village pub of this size, and a large part of what has kept the Ebrington Arms at the top of CAMRA’s regional rankings for so long.

Award-Winning, Homemade Food

The kitchen has held two AA Rosettes and a Bib Gourmand for seven years running, and a place on the UK’s Top 50 Gastropubs list, built on genuinely homemade cooking rather than a formulaic gastropub menu. It is the kind of pub that rewards a detour — a proper village local that happens to cook and brew to a standard well above its size.
