Cotswold Flying Experiences

A wonderful way to see the Cotswolds is from the air and we have teamed up with two local Cotswold companies to bring that amazing experience to our guests.

For a fixed wing tour or experience we have Takeflight, based at Enstone Airfield next to Soho Farmhouse and for helicopter flights there is Heliflights / Heliadventures who are based at Gloucester Airport and Bath Racecourse; although they can come and pick you up from the grounds of many of our properties, a true door to door service.

Sam at Takeflight also offers fantastic short introductions to the world of general aviation with a hands-on experience, for beginners and budding pilots to hopefully whet an appetite for more.

Touring flights with either can take you further afield than just the Cotswolds of course, Jersey, Le Touquet or beyond.

With Heliadventures they offer bespoke tours but here are some examples of their most popular helicopter tours:

• Cotswold Pleasure Flight [10 minutes]
  ​A flight over the local Cotswolds villages, including a flight over Cheltenham Racecourse. Recommended as a taster into helicopter flying.
• Bath City Tour [15 minutes]
  Enjoy a 25 mile sightseeing tour of the wonderful city of Bath. From over a thousand feet, you can spot some of the finest architectural sights in Europe such as the Royal Crescent, the  Circus, Pulteney Bridge, the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and Thermae Bath Spa.
• Bath & Bristol City Tour [25 minutes]
  Enjoy a 50 mile sightseeing tour including the city of Bath and Bristol. From over a thousand feet, you can spot some of the finest architectural sights in Europe such as the Royal Crescent, the  Circus, Pulteney Bridge, the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and Thermae Bath Spa, Brunel's Suspension Bridge and Cabot tower, to name just a few of the amazing landmarks you'll get to see on this tour.

Helicopters are also a great way to arrive or depart from your wedding reception or to take you to sporting events like Silverstone or the Cheltenham Festival and other fixtures of the racing calendar.
