I'm Koj. I am half Japanese, half British. In 2012, I was a finalist on BBC1's MasterChef, a dream-come-true experience in itself but also my springboard out of a career in finance into a new life in food. I now work as a chef, food writer and cookery teacher; with a specialism in Japanese cuisine.

In 2012, I was a finalist on BBC1's MasterChef, a dream-come-true experience in itself but also my springboard out of a career in finance into a new life in food. I now work as a chef, food writer and cookery teacher; with a specialism in Japanese cuisine.

I cater lunch, dinner and canape parties to celebrate any occasion.

My clients are often good cooks themselves, but occasionally like to entertain without doing the cooking, so that they can treat themselves, friends and family to restaurant quality food in their own home, with all the comfort, informality and convenience that comes with it.
Prices below are subject to minimum party sizes, please contact me for a more detailed quote.

  • £50 per person 3 course menu (available lunchtimes)
  • £65 per person 3 course menu including canapes and petits fours
  • £75 per person 4 course menu including canapes and petits fours
  • £85 per person 7 course tasting menu

Additional charges may include:

  • menu surcharges for expensive ingredients
  • parking, toll fees and mileage expenses at 45 pence per mile from my kitchen in Gloucestershire
  • £20 per hour travel expenses for events more than 1 hour away
  • front of house staff (£15 per hour, or please enquire about a qualified sommelier)
  • catering equipment hire, if required (crockery, cutlery, tables, chairs, linen etc).

Personal chef service
Perfect for holidays with children, I offer a full private chef service - that is, breakfast, lunch and dinner (and afternoon tea if you want!). Prices from £500 per day.
